2024 Bridal Veil Trends

WEDDING INSPO

It can be tough to know where to start with designing your dream wedding veil.

Especially if you’re a bride like I was, wanting to have my cake and eat it - for my bridal look to have a timeless feel while also being modern, unique and empowering.

The good news is - you can, and should, have both! During the autumn of 2023, I poured my heart and soul into creating a new Collection that imbues timeless luxury, with some more recent trends befitting a modern 2024 bride.

And today I’m bringing together my 4 favourite wedding veil trends that went into the new designs - to give you the inspiration you need to craft your perfect bridal look.

4 Veil trends
01

DEW DROP VEILS

If you have a more detailed dress, a dew drop veil is for you. Understated yet modern, the crystal clear dew drops give the effect of rainfall. It's sparkly, but without being tacky.

Popularised by Sofia Richie, I love that it looks like the rain has just cascaded down the veil - giving a really organic look, especially with the blusher tier.

02

DRAMATIC VEILS

This is a trend that has been increasing in popularity over the years - think of any recent celebrity wedding! Dresses are becoming more simple, particularly as brides opt for something more easy-wear in the evening so they can properly party!

Meanwhile, accessories are getting more dramatic - often becoming the statement piece of the entire bridal look.

If you want the big wow moment, a dramatic veil is for you. As the name implies, dramatic veils are all about the drama. They give you those epic photos - and that big entrance you’ve dreamt of.

03

BLUSHER VEILS

Blushers are back!

Once thought of as old-fashioned, blusher veils now have a modern twist. They're no longer the poofy 70s look that your Mum had - they're drapey, elegant, and demure without being stuffy.

The other reason I love two tier veils - they give you that beautiful unveiling moment on your big day.

INTRICATE EMBROIDERY

This is my favourite trend - quiet luxury down to a T.

Royal weddings will always be a pillar of inspiration for brides, and Meghan Markle's veil is no different - being the source of this trend.

For the subtle embroidery of flowers representing each of the Commonwealth countries, each flower was individually drawn, understated yet impactful.

Such sentimental embroidery is timeless, and it gives an appearance of lace but without the weight.
